Tonight,
that sense of hype has gone
Caffeine starts wearing off
You’ve gone back down on earth,
trying to fall yourself to sleep
hoping the same old memories won’t creep
right back into your dreams
tainting them with the memories of him

Listen to that dark lullaby
Skin’s hypnotic vocal gets you high
singing: ”I won’t be lost without you”
and you know it’s true
Regain control of the universe inside your head
It shouldn’t be that bad
Just erase him like an unwanted bad drawing
Replace him with someone more charming

Sleep well tonight
You’ll be alright
Let it be you and that comforting dark lullaby
as you silently tell him goodbye
for he never considers you significant
It was just a temporary infatuation
Soon,
his evil spells are completely broken and gone
and your heart’s no longer in fragments
but regrouped - whole as one…
