um. right so. the bicycle cab guy we well.we took a bicycle cab to pier 39.the driver guy was nice. i liked his hat he told us the weather’s always a mystery there. and ya know he’s right. it got windy and then sunny and then cloudy and then cold but not always in that order. his hat was kindof like...............well it’s kindof like the kind an australian in the outback might wear. i have a hat like that.and one reason i don’t like it is cause when the brim’s down it blocks my LOS out of my periphs. yeah that’s why i don’t like big brimmed hats.
so yeah we went to alcatrez. the light in there the sunlight coming through the windows..........my godits beautiful. well i think sunlight can be pretty.but like.in alcztrez it’s pretty cause it’s not. like.well sunlight in a park is pretty too but it’s blendy so. um so during the audio tour we listened to some of the former inmates tell their stories. the way they passed the time was one topic.one of them painted and they had a music hr. every wk.oh and another guy knew how to crochet and he taught some of the other guys how and i thought that was pretty cool. and. oht hey played bridge outside yeah the guys got really into it.i’ve never played bridge, let’ss so in the gift shop there was a former inmate signing a book he’d written about his experiences. and i thought he’d be you know mean but he came across as this kind old man. i didn’t say anything to him but it was nice to see.
oh so like i said there were geese on the island. well this little kid was like ‘geese!’ or ‘ducks!’ or something and he approached the. his mom said to him ‘they’ll bite you’. yeah they will. i mean i’ve never experienced that but yeah. oh and swans are mean.and they hiss too.
so that night we had dinner w/ my mom’s friend jessica. we talked about animals and music [well i told her i love music and she went ‘me too’] and the earthuakes. and children and photography. she’s a lawyer i think but she enjoys working w/ children.so maybe that’s her side job or something. oh and like i said we saw her place. it’s small. nice, wood floors. she gave us the tour. oh so we were looking at this wall which has like all these little doors or something on it. well when the wall moved we found out.it was the door to the bathroom. and there was jessica exiting.like oh hello. her place has 2 bedrooms, a living room/kitchen and the........uh bathroom.thing. her son wasn’t there. he’s 20 and in college in seattle. she’s on her 2nd divorce and seeing someone.who we didn’t meet.it seems to be going well.
right so we went to mama’s the following day.well the way it works isyou order and pay then sit down and they bring you your food.and it’s good food.
some of the murals at coit tower were.well they have a few different artists. 3 of which and i don’t remember who but 3 of them worked w/ diego rivera. you know the husband of frida.kahlo. so i thought that was pretty cool.i love frida’s work.it’s so.not pretty. well er i mean it isbut not in the conventional sense. it’s her reality and her world. it can be a little bit shocking but that’s what i like about it.it’s.uncensored in a sense.
