Perfect timing! in A small but passable life.

It is 100 degrees outside right now. It is the first triple digit day this year. It is 71 degrees back home. I’m leaving in the morning. I’d call it perfect timing.

Things are as good as they can be, as far as leaving Mom alone again. The only thing I’m really worried about is her taking the car out for errands. But I did leave her extensive lists of resources she could utilize, if she will. She can get all the help she needs, for free, if she just makes the call. She also has several friends here in the park who are also “year-rounders”. So she won’t really be alone.

The doctor wanting to cement her vertebrae hasn’t called back yet, but Mom has found a ride to the outpatient procedure. The doctor told us it would be a 45 minute procedure with local anesthesia. So that’s that. I believe she’ll be fine.

I don’t feel guilty about leaving because I know I’ll be back when I’ll probably be needed more. I’m taking a break while I can. That’s my justification.

I’m looking forward to sleeping until I want to get up. I’m looking forward to coffee in the mornings with Daughter. I’m looking forward to long walks on sidewalks again. I’m looking forward to seeing green everywhere. I’m looking forward to feeling humidity again.

I will miss the pool. I won’t miss the air pollution. I won’t miss the damn TV.

Anyway, by this time tomorrow I should be back home.

And in other news-

How about them Republicans? Nineteen dumbasses started running and one dumbass, Drumpf, is left. I love it. This shit just keeps getting more amusing.
