Cake once more …. in The odd entries from life …….

I often watch programs on the BBC iPayer, near all of the content is BBC television programs, some times there is film, last week I found ‘The Heroes of Telemark’ a film about the true story of the sabotage of the heavy water plant in Norway.

Tonight I found a film called ‘Snow Cake’ staring Alan Rickman, Angela Pell wrote the part of Alex Hughes with Alan Rickman in mind, after reading the script he wanted Sigourney Weaver to play Linda who is autistic. Also there is Carrie-Anne Mose, a face I know but I couldn’t place, after a search it all came to gether, she was ‘Trinity’ in ‘The Matrix’ films.

It is made by the BBC and a Canadian film company, and shot in Wawa, Ontario. As film go this is slow burring, I like that more than the Hollywood high pace stories, there is death of a daughter and a autistic mother, and a British man with a pass, the cast is wonderful, great acting from the last Rickman and Sigourney is wonderful as the autistic Mother.

I had not heard of the film, but it is well worth watching for ….
