6 months in 2016

Wow, it really does fly by! You’re growing so fast now, and collecting milestones like it’s your job.

At your 6-month check-up we learned that you are still “tall” and “skinny” as you are in the upper percentiles for height, but in the lower percentiles for weight.

You handled your shots slightly better this time, but still looked so perplexed as to WHY we were doing this to you. Sorry sweetie.

You officially sat up all by yourself over the weekend, and you “enjoyed” your first tastes of strawberry applesauce. This was the first successful food experience we’ve had with you after a few misfires with avocado, carrot applesauce and even PIZZA sauce (because WHY NOT! PIZZA IS GOOD) You’ll learn. Heh.

You are so sweet, and so silly. Your favorite person is probably your big brother, as he’s amazing at making you laugh. Your little personality is starting to come through and it’s just simply adorable. I’m so glad you’re part of this family. You make us whole.

You love: your “Nuk,” late night snuggles, nice long baths with your brother, things that crinkle, holding my phone, getting tickled, learning new noises, hearing monkey noises, trying to catch bubbles, books (especially books with fuzzy things or crinkly tags), stroller and car rides; your brother, your mama & papa, strawberry applesauce, sitting on the porch swing, your jumper, your high chair, putting weight on your little legs, sitting up by yourself, Lucy the poodle, Camus the frenchbulldog

You don’t love: missing out on anything, being ignored, shots, liquid tylenol, getting your diaper changed (unless you have something to occupy yourself while it happens)

We’re very excited to see you continue to grow and develop. Thanks for being our baby.
