The high pressure is still over the UK, and you take your chances if you get a really cloudy and chilly day, or the sun breaks through and warms things up a bit. Today the sun is out - and even thought it is still a bit cold it bodes well for the day.
So, it’s Palm Sunday, and at one time the BBC would always preface the news in the morning of Palm Sunday with a verse of ‘Ride on, ride on in majesty’ - celebrating Christ entering Jerusalem on a donkey.
It seems that has gone - certainly not there this morning - and maybe indicative of the way the Corporation has moved away from an upfront Christian presence. Actually Radio 3 has some wonderful music all day from across Europe which celebrates aspects of the day.
Let’s be clear - I am not complaining about the BBC - it still does a fantastic job in the face of criticisms from those who are only in broadcasting for the money. Just seeing a trend.

Made a couple of visits to my old colleague who had a stroke - he is now in hospital in a rehab ward with other men but is still quite confused. He did know me - and I chatted to him about hings that were happening in the world - and what we had done - the main aim finding topics which he might respond to. He was in bed yesterday and told me he had no pyjama bottoms on - so knowing he had been quite a cocksman in his time I suggested he was following the Boy Scout precept of being prepared. He laughed at that - and we had a few more jokes. he had been dozing when I arrived - and looked tires - so after 15 minutes I eft - and would assume someone else would be coming in.

I had to get home to watch three games of rugby on the tv!! England beat the French to record a full house of wins (grand slam) - and what a bugger - those who have read me before know even though I am English I hate the way they perceive ther pre -eminent place in the game - no wonder all the other countries in the UK want to be independent!!!

Who knows, there are major problems for the Tory government - if the Uk votes to leave the EU all hell will break loose - and Scotland and Wales will be very unhappy with what has happened because of an English majority.

Interesting times

and why not somethings to have a laugh with
