understated overture in poetry

you say that you can’t tell
but does that mean that you can’t see
or does that mean that you can’t say
some words have double-meanings
hard to really read the tells these days
so is it that you just can’t tell
or is it that you just can’t tell
is it that you just can’t see or
is it that you just can’t say
words have more meanings with each year
words mean less with every passing day
