Vacation in In the Meadow

The kids are on vacation from school this week. They didn’t have school on Friday and school doesn’t start again until this coming Monday. On Thursday night the fifth through eight graders at the school had a sweetheart dance. Kayla and Timmy could go since they are eighth graders and Aaron went since he is a fifth grader. They got all dressed up. Since they wear uniforms to school, they don’t have many opportunities to dress up for school.

Timmy and Kayla had a valentines party on Thursday morning in their advisor base class (what they used to call homeroom.) Aaron had a valentines party with his fifth grade class. Kayla and I went clothes shopping on Saturday. She is thirteen and at that difficult age to buy clothes since she doesn’t want little kid clothes but is still small for the adult sizes. We found some nice outfits at Burlington and Marshalls.

Otherwise we have not done a lot so far on vacation. The weather has been cold and snowy and we have mostly stayed home. We have been watching The Muppets and Supergirl, and reading Harry Potter.
