First part done in Stuff

Well, the first part of my dental work is done. I now have a bright orange temporary filling in there, until I return next week to get it finished. At least the bacteria and gunk and such is all gone. The procedure took probably about an hour or so, and my mouth is still numb as a motherfucker, still an hour or so later. Just want it to go away. Such a weird feeling. I usually use this time to shave my face, because I can’t feel any of the hairs being pulled by the blade, but I currently don’t need to shave - boo.
Because I’m going away for the week, I’ve booked in for next Wednesday to get it completed. That one will be the VERY pricey session :( Although this one was more than expected too because apparently there was a ‘4th canal’ she forgot to include on my initial estimated quote, so I had to pay an extra $128. Haha, on top of the total, that amount doesn’t seem like much, and I just wanted to be out of pain.
It’ll be interesting to see how it feels when the numbness wears off. She said it will feel a bit strange, but I’m expecting that.
I just hate that I have to have that needle again next time! The back of my head was getting sore against the headrest of the chair, so I’m glad I didn’t try to get everything done at once, or else I probably would have gotten a cramp.
The assistant seemed to be in training as well or something, as the dentist was guiding her. She stuck the sucker thing in too far at one point and I nearly choked. You’d think I wouldn’t have a gag reflex by now :P
I’m gradually on the mend!
