Here’s a scary thing…

Someone becomes a manager of a store. They step on everybody to make themselves look better and, while the store suffers, the asshole manager continues to get promoted to District Manager. He decides to cut every line level employee’s salary to save the district money. The customers are upset, the employees are upset, but the stock price soars. Soon… District Manager rises to the ranks of President because of his “ability to improve stock price” (and because his father owns the company).... also, asshole is making $160,000 a year.

Now… screwing the hard working people… slashing their pay, massive lay offs, reducing benefits… all the wonderful things that helped propel that asshole to the top… that is called “Good Business Sense.”

If the workers form a union, ask the government for protective laws, or fight against the treatment? THEN it’s “Class Warfare.”

No.
Anytime one “class” succeeds on the backs of another “class” it is class warfare. The rich very aggressively pulling up the ladder behind them? Class warfare. The poor fighting back? Class warfare.

Any time one large group attacks another because of financial gain/loss… we can arguably call it class warfare.

That may have been heavily influenced by what is going on at work. Boss’ Boss has gone so far as to lecture Pretrial workers DURING COURT even though he doesn’t know what the fuck we do. I mean… he was yelling at a pretrial employee in court for not explaining to the judge how Pretrial scores work. Like… we’re supposed to explain, each case how the system works? Wouldn’t that be a giant waste of the court’s time? Especially since most of these judges have been in office since BEFORE EVEN I WORKED FOR PRETRIAL. This guy is a monster. He makes $136,000 a year… and in 4 years of work; I’ve seen him in my department 3 times… two of them simply to yell at us for not doing what he thinks we should be doing. He is an absolute monster. IN FACT… the Pretrial girl that he yelled at in court.... had no idea who he was because she’d never seen him/never met him!

Whereas… I’ve worked with this guy for 4 years. I know him. I’ve been in meetings with him. So when it came time to try to yell at me? He had Boss’ Assistant do it. The coward wouldn’t even see me in person. He sent a brand new person to talk to me because he knew that he couldn’t face me. And yet… this guy has pretty much verbally crucified all of my coworkers (all women under 25 of course) to the point where they are all planning on quitting. Now… me quitting… long been planned. But the entire office is basically going to leave within the next three weeks. And all $136,000 Boss’ Boss can say is, “Well, fuck ‘em.” Except obviously for me, since it seems he’s afraid of me.
