This morning was something of a jump, I was going into Truro with my Daughter for eleven, then I got the call ‘we have to be there for ten’ now I was sat at my table in my room with a bowl of Bran Flakes; and my feet in a larger bowl of warm water – just hard skin!

I was just going with my Daughter so I didn’t have to wait for bus, also I hadn’t fed the dogs, so I sent her in her car and I would follow on the bus. My main objection was a few things from Tesco’s, the car was in the Tesco car park then I went inside. Next I had a call asking a car park token, so we could get the car out.

When we mete up Jen offered to take the heavy, I thought I was going on to Perranporth, no I had got it wrong again; it was the time for the 22 bus – so I set off minus the heavy things. The 22 bus arrived in good time, and I find a seat in the front of the bus; a moment after arrived a Mum with two little girls and a pram.

I was sitting of one of the folding sites where prams are parked, Mum slid the pram next to me and offered to move, she told me ‘no you stay there’ she sat in the seat with the two girls sitting across from her. I looked at the little one in the pram, a small face looked up at me with uncertain eyes; whoops I thought its going to cry so I looked else where.

As we left Truro I noticed that little face looking at me with interest, I turned round and looked at him, he didn’t crumble at my interest so I touched a very small hand, then five little fingers closed over my smallest finger; Mum looked up a said ‘he’s got you for the journey’

I found he was Simon and was five months old, and Simon still had a good grip on my finger, it was a nice feeling taking me back thirty years. A mile or two from home Simon had last interest in my finger, getting off the bus I found they lived just a few doors up from me; if they didn’t know me the did know the gray dog in our window.

Today had been warm with a blue sky and just a few clouds, I had put the towels in the washing machine, I was back before one so I put the towels out facing the sun; before tea time they were dry.

After lunch I went out with Lola, as usual I took Ziggy up though the village, and through the new houses where the streets are quiet, before we get to the top of the village there is a road cutting off, I stopped Ziggy and made him ‘sit’ A small 4x4 turned into the road and stopped.

The drivers window went down and a young woman was looking at Ziggy and saying nice things about him, the 4x4 reversed and parked, she got out and came round to Ziggy, she now haw to approach a Beardei ; I stood there as Ziggy had a lot of fuss – Ziggy was loving it!

At the high end of the village there was a cold wind, and I felt the cold as Zingy was having a great time; after ten minuets of fuss I was released to go with ‘I will watch for you – and thanked me for allowing her to make a fuss of Ziggy’

Dog people love him, others keep back, Ziggy would go to anyone ………………..
