I sometimes wonder about you,
wandering soul
How do you do?
Have you reached another goal?

Our time back then was really short
There was a lot to take in,
so much to process with nothing to hold
In the end, breaking away was the only solution

Perhaps you could’ve shed some light here,
wandering soul
Did you ever understand my greatest fears?
Was it always just about you, instead of this story as a whole?

Sometimes I’m like a sleeping satellite in this universe,
but I don’t want to be like a dog on a tailspin
There are other more important things to do in this world,
despite these nagging, unanswered questions

This is why I’ve never expected you to stay,
just like others I’ve let walk away
You’d surely laugh at the idea
like I doubt that you’ve ever really cared about me

Don’t be surprised if next time we meet again
I will gaze right through you…with such indifference
I’ve learned from one of the experts
I think I’m slowly getting good at it
