another day in A Day in the Life of Me

Hit the gym again today, went at it a little bit longer, a little bit harder. I am still looking for a new routine as the other 2 no longer have any interest for me, so feel free if anyone has suggestions!
Had to tell a nice couple today kindly that i had no interest in there non- pyramid scheme Pyramid scheme, and pretty much used D as my scape goat out of it. I told them that I want to keep everything as neat and tidy and clean as possible so that the gov has no reason to look at us in any negative way, and also that I have no money to sink into it lol
They told me about another person they know who also married someone who wasn’t a Canadian, and that she also works in the gov, and that she saw no reason blah blah, end story, I really just wasn’t interested, and I just wasn’t getting the warm and fuzzies over it. They were certainly nice, and I know my joining on would have helped out a friend of mine as i would basically be part of HER pyramid, but I am just not into doing it.

They did give me a bit of good info though about contacting my local elected official and talk to him about talking to someone about finding out what can be done to get D’s paperwork worked on, which i am totally going to be looking into as emailing Ottawa itself isn’t really pulling through with the responses i was hoping for.
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t expect to have it done over night, and that he will have his PR and work cards next week, but it would be nice to find out when anything will be done and if the liberal gov will do as promised and actually pump more money into immigration and get this moving.
I would be fine if i heard it would be another 12 months, but as it is the website says 24, and as far as we know his paperwork is still only in the “Received” status, which means its NOT being looked at, its just been acknowledged as being at the processing office, which means.. 24 months.
Frustrating.
