Iowa caucused
My precinct was 36/25
Sanders/Clinton
Our precinct had 12 delegates to choose for the county convention. Since we had 36 people for Sanders and 25 for Clinton (61 total), the Sanders group got to choose 7 delegates and the Clinton group got to choose 5 delegates.
Buying gas at Kwik Star on the way home, I saw my next door neighbor and asked her if she was coming from the Republican caucus. She said she was and that Cruz had won her caucus. She didn’t give me specific numbers.
At home I googled caucus results and see that Cruz is ahead of Trump, 27.7% to 24.4% with 83% of results reported. With 82% of results in, Hillary has 50.1% and Sanders 49.2%. They are getting closer and closer as more of the results come in.
Since I support Hillary I guess I’m glad it’s close rather than an obvious win for Sanders.
The circus will fold up its tent and move on.
