My entire weekend was wasted because I was to be on standby…

My uncle sent me a text earlier in the day to say that the van would not be ready just yet and to be on standby for Saturday afternoon.

I had plans for Saturday. Like all day. Farmer’s Market, an afternoon matinee of Million Dollar Quartet (about Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley and the 50’s music scene). After that I had a reggae show I was going to go to.

I got up, showered, washed and braided my hair. I even went the extra mile to spa treat my feet (they kind of needed it though-lol) and then I was sitting. 1pm came around and went. Sent son down the street to the sandwich shop for lunch. 3pm came and went. I wanted to at least go to the grocery store, but I figured that by the time I got somewhere I couldn’t get back home fast enough from he was going to call. I never, NEVER heard from him and that set me in a pissy mood all effin day. Then I started the overthinking.

My cousin’s fiancée is the one working on it. I was told there were extra things I that needed work and I would have to at least pay $400. Then it turned into they might need a little bit more. All the while, I’m thinking that my cousin is feeding information to my brother because they are tight like that. Then I get berated even more because now someone is jealous. Hey I don’t have a few grand on standby because I don’t make money like that. I’m in school now to change that so back the eff off me about it. Besides I was absolutely willing to let it sit until I was able to fix it. Hell, I thought it was just sitting somewhere in the cold being homesick. LOL This also puts me in an awkward position because while I’m grateful, so very grateful that he paid to get my car working, why call me and get my hopes up?? Sparrows dangling carrots can fly away at anytime and leave me here looking stupid. And I’m pissed. And if any of my cds are missing I’m going to cut people.

Okay that’s it.

Kindest regards,
Sister
