You may have heard the term or may not Load boxing. Back when I was in the shops, if you needed to check for main generator output you load boxed em. They rigged a set of old dynamic brake grids and fans that were made to simulate a load on the main generator. You had to spot the motor, the Electrician jumpered the cables and they performed the test. Yeah it was wide open, and the electrical energy was dissipated away, Now they channel this same load box test through the dynamic braking grids on the locomotive. It’s its own load box.
Although this is the Canadian National a GE EVO is a GE EVO. LOL the software is in French and English and I knew how to change it over from metric to our unit of measurement. I still laugh, some would call and say I don’t think we’ll make the top. Why ? Well we have 1000 gallons… Ya sure its not liters. I don’t know. I’ll check it.
I could get into that menu as well Damon and me did it one slow night with one that was st Big Lift. LOL Have I said I entertain easily.
The electrician or machinist has the door open so this is really what it sounds like at throttle 8
