I finally settled on names for the girls. Stella Luna (as in Stellaluna, the children’s book).
This is Stella. She’s the quieter of the two for the most part. She’ll run around and play, but is quicker to snuggle or at least pile up next to me. Her coloring is mostly typical gray/black tabby strips, with adorable white half and full socks. She’s got a little peachy type colored splotches on her ear and a white chin.

This is Luna - the crazy one of the pair. Her description is a dilute calico tortie with a two-toned face. She’s got some cool coloring. She’s got the black/gray tabby striping like her sister, but also a fair amount of yellow/orange striping, too. She’ll jump into my lap and stay there for a while, then stand up and hiss and jump off. She’s got some settling to do. She’s the one who was adopted out on her own and then returned. I don’t know how long they had her, but I get the feeling they may not have been all that nice to her or able to handle her wild nature. We’ll see how she settles.

They’ve thankfully settled at night for the most part. Right after the lights go out they run for a few minutes, then settle down. They are both small. They’re 8 month and I’m guessing their weight is around 3 pounds. They are ALWAYS hungry. If I try to sleep any later than 5 am they are sitting by the bed mewling for food. They do play together pretty well. At times they tear through with Luna chasing Stella, then come back through with Stella after Luna. Luna is on my lap as I type. She loves nose skritches and laying as close to the edge of my lap as she can. (As in almost falling off and then letting you know that she really doesn’t want you to adjust her.) I bought a cheap little cat climber for them and they enjoy it and will try laying on it together.

They’ve discovered the windowsill (a perch is ordered and on the way) and the squirrels in the yard. They really get stress about those squirrels. They stayed like this for a while giving little chirpy trills back and forth. That’s Stella sitting and Luna standing on two legs.
