On the Job in QUOTIDIEN

I am loving this job. The official title is: Customer Qualification Specialist. In short, when an order is placed for a CPAP (my dept), I make sure we’ve got the correct insurance on file. I make sure we have all the qualified documents such as RX , sleep studies with the correct info, face2face/office visit notes with specific identifying markers, and proper sleep studies.

When I’m missing documents, I fax God and everyone until I get what I need. Some insurances are worse than others. SLA runs about 9 days from intake. The goal is to complete an order with as little touches as possible. I’m not doing so bad. :)

I’m ahead of the ramp-up parameters I signed at the start of my probationary period, so far.

Every few days, an order is pulled by the QA department, which verifies 20 points of an order - even listening to phone calls. It’s a Pass or Fail situation. Since I’ve been moved to CPAP right after training, I’ve not failed any.

I admit - not the most scintillating entry, but now you know a little about what goes into ordering medical equipment/supplies from this side.
Have a great day.
