A no-clean or clutter day in Day to day life from a woman that turned 60 in Oct 2014 and who lives on a farm and Retired on January 2, 2016. I plan to do more sewing, work outside in the yard and just enjoy my retirement.

I had to make a trip to get bread. I baked bread last weekend but J doesn’t much care for it. I fix him 2 pieces of toast and he has cereal for breakfast for now.
Found a clear tackle like box in the fabric and craft dept today. It is made like a tackle box with two trays that raise with the lid, except it is clear. It will be perfect for sewing notions.
Oh remember the little short table I wrote about. Well I discovered that the legs are adjustable. Duh me. The taller it gets the stability lessens but it will come in handy with the option of lowering it or raising it a couple of notches.
My Walmart gift card wouldn’t scan today. This is the 2d time that has happened. I took it to the service desk and they had the same trouble so they transferred the amount to a new card. I hope the new card works.
Had my cart taken while I used the bathroom at Walmart. Only took me a couple of minutes but when I went to where I’d parked it it was gone. I had a package of glue dots and two sided tape that was on clearance. Gone. I ask an associate if they knew if it was another associate or a customer and she apologized and said she hadn’t watched for me but it was a customer. Told her it wasn’t her job to watch my cart while I used the bathroom but thanks anyway. I thought maybe an associate thought it had been abandoned and took it to put the 2 items and the cart away. Nope.
I did go back at clearance and get the two sided tape, but there were no more glue dots. Just as well I think as I probably wouldn’t have used them anyway.
After Walmart I went by the $tree and picked up some very small container with lids for office things like paperclips, thumb tacks and such as that. Stopped by the Goodwill and nothing there except a pair of velour PJ bottoms that I’m going to use to make a cover for my neck thingy.
Came home, unloaded and put away the stuff. I then fixed some beef soup. I used the pike’s peak roast (which is a lower end of the beef for tenderness and quality). I sliced enough to have 6 roast beef sandwiches, a package for another pot of stew or soup and a package of shredded beef that I can add BBQ sauce to for BBQ sandwiches. Put all the packages in the freezer so it will be ready in just a few seconds for a quick lunch or to make a stew. The recipe was perfect and the beef is tender. I had already frozen the broth from cooking the roast so that makes a wonderful flavor.
Then I got tired. I decided to lay on the couch and got almost asleep and the phone rang. Supposedly representing Veterans of America. I told them to take my name off their list. Ignoring the calls do not make them stop. They made 4 calls today.
It’s past my bedtime. Take care and God Bless
