Two more applications to two more counties today. That just leaves 80 more counties before I’ve applied to literally every single county in Iowa.

I saw an amazing picture today with an amazing message. One of my absolute best friends in the world (we haven’t seen each other in a few years so the argument is I should stop calling her that… but not gonna happen).... she was diagnosed with Cancer several years back. After hard work and chemo; she got a clean bill of health. That was October 2013. Of course, there is always a fear of remission. So, she and her husband got busy living. They even had a child recently (July 6, 2015). Today she had a “Two Year” check up and posted a wonderful photo… her baby looking nervous, her looking happy, and a very clean NO CANCER reading on her chart. Such blessings for that family… and they deserve it. She and her husband are practically saints… they deserve the best!

Ha… then compare that to what I had to put up with from clients, lol. THIS kind of story is why I will always be upset by “criminals.” 18 year old client. Trying to tell me what happened to bring him to jail. He was tooling around in his Dad’s car, drinking significantly, when he hit a pedestrian. He stopped, waited to make sure the pedestrian was still moving, and drove off. At this point of the story he says, “I was pissed. Bitch comes from nowhere and damages the car!” He continued with the story.... he drove to his Dad’s place and demanded that his father call the police to say the car had been stolen. The client was very upset that his father wouldn’t do that. The police picked up the client the next day and charged him with Leaving the Scene and Flight. They did not (could not) charge him with underaged drinking or DUI. And he’s sitting in front of me… no remorse… no contrition… not even protesting his innocence. Just… mad that he has to be in jail for (his words) “something so meaningless.” Yeah… that kind of stuff gets me a little worked up.

Speaking of worked up, I just read an article that I wish was satirical… I hope was ironic… but know was sincere. It was an “impassioned, intelligent argument” for why it is anti-Earth and downright evil to have children. I wish I were kidding. A full article on the evils of having kids. Because having children is mean to the environment and selfish. Just two equally asinine arguments used to demonstrate why “breeders” (as the author often said) were one of the largest environmental problems facing the earth. I’ll admit… having kids is something I think about with fear… because the world is in such an awful state. But I can’t understand why anyone would lambaste people for wanting to have kids. Unless, of course, you are talking about the people that inevitably become my clients. The young kids with 10 to 15 kids, no means to support them, and no interest in raising them. THOSE people… yeah. Have less kids. But suggesting that having kids at all is morally wrong? Uhm… shut it, witch!

I can see how people would be angry at these pictures for making Fairy Tales more violent… I can see how people would be angry at these pictures for making Fairy Tale Princess Types more “sexual” but… all of that accepted… I kind of like these. And, as always… seeing stuff like this makes me wish I could draw or had any ounce of artistic talent, lol.
