right so more on London. On our 5th day which was.........um. Wed. we saw the Wallace collection it was nice. it doesn’t have anything to do w/ william wallace [or braveheart]. no it’s a different wallace. Oh and then we went to the Tate Britian where we happened upon a tour group. We listened to a lady Jane talk about the art there the paintings. You could tell she really liked her job and it was so nice to see.that. After the tour group finished she talked to us about the painting ‘ophelia rising’ which my mom apparently loves and i didn’t know anything about untill that day. I only knew about ophelia and i’d forgotten my Shakespeare history untill the lady mentioned it in reference to the painting. We saw other paintings too. We saw a series of 3 paintings telling a story i forgot what it’s called..........it’s french. i’ll ask my mom. Jane got excited at all the right places when she was talking.
i don’t remember what we did Thurs. no maybe we saw ‘les mis’ Thurs. yeah that’s right cause we saw ‘phantom’ Fri.
on.........fri. which would’ve been our.........um............6th day no wait our 7th. no maybe we left fri. i don’t know. anyway on our last day...........no we left sat. the 5th. anyway. [again]. On Fri. we went to the British Museum. It has a cool ceiling it’s a cool place. We had lunch at the Tate. ok so that was Wed.
So the wait staff will ask you if you’re done w/ your tray before taking it. They don’t do that a lot in the states. it’d be nice if they did. it’d also be nice if they didn’t greet you straightaway when you came into a store as i don’t like that. That’s one reason i like grocery stores. they don’t do that.
i um had mangos and bread for breakfast. which is interesting as i’m not big on bread. well unless it’s........not dry like unless it’s a muffin or something. oh i also had milk that’s the main thing i drank there. it had cream in it which i didn’t like. and when we went to eateries i had water which i also. don’t like except for the last day. The day we saw ‘les mis’ we ate at an asian place i gotpad thai. and like i said at some point during our stay i had eggs benedict at a place w/ a french waiter he was cute. not physically. er i mean he was an attractive guy but his being cute refers more to the way he said things.
european showers. omygod eurpoean showers. I don’t like showering as a: i don’t enjoy standing 2: the shower head’s too high and i don’t like my hair being wet in the shower um and c: seems to me that people would be warmer being submerged in water. if i got a shower chair well.......i don’t like sitting w/ my feet on the floor i like sitting curled. and so i think if i had a shower chair i’d sit curled but then i’d be worried i’d fall off. i don’t like armrests, so.........yeah. [i take showers btw i just don’t like them]. but w/ european showers the shower head is at shoulder level whichi like. I wish we had that here. well maybe we do.
so many stairs. Up to our flat and down and up to brunswick and down and down to the subways and up again. That’s the one thing i don’t like about europe is how many stairs there are. My mom doesn’t like elevators but i do which is weird since i have a fear of being trapped. But the reason i like them is so you don’t have to climb the stairs. just no. That’s also why i prefer escalators. except for the massive ones in subways those i don’t like. My fave part about the subways is the performers i like that. we don’t have subways where i’m from and currently reside which is denver btw.
