This past weekend my sister and I debuted some meatballs. They were good, but missing something. Missing a few things. I like the sauce, but I like the sauce for something else. It was saucy, but too thick for a meatball sandwich I think. The have you ever had a tough meatball?? Some how, it was tough. She cooked them in the sauce in hopes that they won’t be dry. They weren’t extremely dry, but they were dry. After I had a few, I said to my sister, “They seem tough.”
We were at a trivia night for the church selling meatball sliders. It was my idea and I saw it through. I put in work I was sweaty and gross. I wanted to play but we worked the table instead. We didn’t sell very many and the rest of them came home to me. Meatball sandwiches, meatball pizza, meatball meatballs…Yeah. I also don’t think they were done enough. She cooked them to a temperature of 145. I think they should have been cooked longer. Maybe that’s what caused all the toughness. And they were huge meatballs.
This one guy came. He asked for an order, but he wanted it on a hot dog bun. I made it nice. Mozzerella on the bottom, meatball and sauce on the stop and sprinkled with parmesan. It was taken to him. and he said, “I’m not paying $5 for two meatballs.” Did I mention they were huge?? Anyway, going in to this, my cousin did tell us these people were cheap. They had hot dogs and brauts for 2. Beer and wine and such. Oh well. We gave it a go. My sister hasn’t put anything on the Facebook page. I was going to put this picture I took of her on the site and I’m guessing she will post the picture of me when I post the one I have of her. I don’t know.
In the midst of all of this, I’d been stressed. Just a combination of things I have to pay for with my car being broken down, this gig. It makes me realize how much I can’t handle stress and how distressed I feel in the middle of the chaos. It’s crazy. I get quiet. I say nothing and I want to scream and yell, but there is no one to yell to and so I sit quietly imploding hoping nothing sets me off.
I had my grandson this weekend too. I was so tired. My son watched him when I went to work at the trivia night. When I got home he was so happy to see me. “Gaddah, I miss you!!” and he hugged me and wanted to play and talk. I just sat on the couch and watched him. Then he wanted to watch a dvd and we both fell asleep on the couch. I woke up about 1a, covered him up because it hurt for me to try and carry him up the stairs, and I went to bed. LOL
Woke up loving on him, but still tired and was ready for him to go home. Didn’t leave until about 8:45. AND I had to get up and go to work and be in class on Monday. My friend Scott picked me up and took me home. It was good to see him. Then I went to the bar on the corner and sipped it up with my neighbor/bar owner and had some wings. Was late for work the next day because I kept saying I have to go and didn’t.
Let’s see what else? Oh I saw Saadiq. That’s my neighbor that is really nice. He has too many issues right now and a good hear for anything to pop off between us. He was talking real slick and it makes me want to ask him if he was a pimp before. Giving what he told me, he has a questionable past, but don’t we all? But I wasn’t never a whore to no pimp.
At any rate…
MY CARDS AGAINST HUMANITY GAME ARRIVED!!
Kindest regards,
Sister
