Drying, dancing,sucking and flying in blackpropaganda

The rain has stopped here - I can see blue sky - and luckily we live on a hill - but there is chaos still where the rain is still falling and the rivers are in flood. The weather front just stopped over the Lake District and deposited a month’s rain in a few hours - and all that came off the hills and mountains - and even the best fllod defences could not cope. In one town this the third time in six years - did I hear something about there not being any climate change????? Next fron come in tomorrow!

So I should be able to get out for a walk later - and maybe have a chance to see what the paths are like for a walk I am leading on Tuesday - it is through a forest so there will be a lot of leaves - and on the lower stretches puddles - so I’d better check before allowing people on to them.

Saturday nights here are Strictly Come Dancing - and all the couples were excellent - I wonder how the great British public will vote to go off - and have to go into a dance off - we will find out tonight. Then the third series of the Danish/Swedish police drama The Bridge - even SW… stays awake lying on the sofa watching this - you have to concentrate with the sub titles - and information on a whole range of characters come at you all the time. Are there no normal people in Scandinavia? Great stuff.
