Yes, I was having my eyes tested by a very nice young woman who wore shiny black tights with a short skirt - which meant the top part of the tights was continuously exposed - luckily I was not wearing my glasses - and concentrating on seeing which letters I could identify - oh yes!!!!!

My eyes are fine - no need for new glasses - so same old image.

I watched the vote in Parliament last night - no surprises, and I was glad to see just a quiet moment when the vote in favour of air strikes was announced. The coverage this morning of the first strikes in Syria were like a commentary on Top Gun. It will soon be old news - and meanwhile there is still a dispute in the NHS, a divide in health and education between north and south of the country - and a Prime Minister who does not apologise for a slur on those who were against the air strike policy. Happy days - but that’s politics.
