I want to wish all of you a wonderful Thanksgiving to include those from afar who may not have this day as their Thanksgiving Day. Bet the Indians wish they hadn’t allowed the immigrants to stay.

Turkey will go in the oven at 6 or 6:30. Ham is done and only needs to be warmed up just before we eat. Potatoes are on the stove and once done, they will be mashed and put in the crockpot to keep hot. Cream cheese corn is in the smaller crockpot and will add more corn once the creme cheese and butter melt down. Cranberry salad is in the garage fridge and I’ll be starting on the stuffing in a couple hours. I cheat and use canned sweet potatoes but will add my own concoction of sweet stuff when the time is right. A is bringing pecan and pumpkin pie, and there will be other deserts and sides brought today.

I did feel better after I’d been up and had coffee yesterday morning and a note reminded me of my nettie pot which I have apparently thrown away. I will replace it soon. They work wonders and I really needed it last night. The drainage was horrendous during the night.

Rain enough for flooding again is on its way. Blah!! Suppose to rain through the weekend.

Dude and family will be going to Dudette’s family for Thanksgiving and then they will bring the girls here and Isaiah will stay with A. The girls are going to work with me tomorrow and the serious office purging will commence. The girls will be doing a lot of shredding for me. After over 30 yrs of keeping SYA stuff, you accumulate a lot of files, hard copy emails, and documents. lol Tomorrow evening there will be much less SYA and old documents in my office. If there is time, we will also get some of my personnel supplies packed up too. I brought several things from home or Walmart to use for work. They will all come home with me.

I will end this and see what else I need to do and also get a shower and get dressed. I may take the shower before I put the turkey in the oven and yes, I did need A’s to get the buttered up raw turkey in the baking bag yesterday evening. It could have been a disaster if I had tried it by myself. Next year 2 or 3 smaller turkeys instead of 1 large one.

Take care of yourselves and God Bless
