A good day all round in blackpropaganda

After the gloom and doom we had a good day. We were able to do the walk with no rain at all - we could see showers out to sea, but none came close - and the paths were easily negotiable. So a solid 90 minutes of walking, and then a welcome tea, coffee and scone. You know all the people are happy from the level of noise when they are having the refreshments - and there was a lot of noise today.

So after a morning walking, an afternoon ballroom dancing. Nothing better than that aerobic exercise - still learning new steps in the foxtrot, and more complicated stuff in the cha cha cha. Actually we spend more time these days chatting over tea etc at halftime - I reckon 40 minutes of each is OK and time to rtalk to the other couples. Should I say one of the ladies has the most wonderful breasts - OK I’ve said it anyway - but then we only dance with our own partners.
Tonight we even had a three course dinner - melon, trout and baked apple and custard - just the food for a ate autumn/winter evening.

And back to Paris - when I was a boy we played cowboys and indians and we got shot, and lay down - following what happened in the flicks - but when you think that the terrorist killed in the attack on the flat in St Denis was only identified from his fingerprints then you get an idea of the reality of a large scale gunfight.

Needless to say, the threat is not over - and more and more people in capitals in western Europe are jittery - there is really no way of dealing with a suicide bomber. When the IRA was bombing London they made sure they were well out of the way.
