Life goes on in Life as a Mom of 2 boys.....and a girl!!

Wow I had no idea it’s been 19 days since I have written in here. Anyways, I have been off work since my shift ended on the 19th of November. It’s wonderful getting a full night of sleep every night. So blissful! I nap in the afternoon when Miles does too for a couple of hours because I have been finding it harder to fall asleep at night with my belly that is big already. On work nights Mike goes to sleep at 11pm latest so I go too and read in bed with a small book light. It’s wonderful! I haven’t read this much in so long. I finished a 775 page book last week in 5 days :) And some nights Mike goes to play video games when the boys go to bed and I just read for hours.

I’m 21 weeks pregnant tomorrow :) My baby girl is the size of a pomegranate. Only in the past week have I been feeling her a bit more than a couple random kicks per day. The boys were much more wild in there at this point. I’m hoping this means she is going to be calm and easy going but that’s always a toss up. I feel great these days besides the difficulties that come with getting heavier. My appetite is big sometimes and normal other times. I have healthy snacks most of the time but treats too. Veggies and dip, apples and clementines have been my favorite snacks lately. Miles has been nuts about the clementines too which hopefully means he won’t catch Cody’s cold.

I had an awesome time last night going to a special sale at Once upon a child (used but high quality kid clothes). It was 70% off all fall/winter clothes. I went nuts and just started going down the baby girl sizes from 0 to 18 months and picking anything I liked. Long sleeved onesies, leggings, pants, a few dresses. I ended up with 32 items which cost me $53. I would have stayed longer but the sale was only on from 5-8pm and Cody was feverish and clingy at home so I couldn’t go until he went to bed at 7. I got the cutest stuff! I was so excited when I got home and cut all the tags off and showed Mike. He thought I bought too much but I got all different sizes and am basically starting this little lady’s wardrobe from scratch so no, I didn’t overdo it at all.

I really want to decide on the baby’s name soon. We have it narrowed down but I am finding it hard to make a final decision. Our top picks are : Jade, Gemma, Maya, Emma and Zoey. Nora was my ideal name but Mike says no way. I think it will be between Emma and Jade. Although ask me tomorrow and I may say something different lol.

We are about 70% done our Christmas shopping now. I told Mike I really want to be done soon so I can relax and not need to go to the mall or any chaotic stores. So his mom is coming over next Saturday so we can go out for several hours and finish completely. That will be perfect because my parents come home on the 15th and I want to be able to hang out with them lots instead of having shopping lists on my mind. They’re only staying til the 30th so I am sure we will see them most of those days.

We put up our tree yesterday and it looks awesome! My parents gave us their expensive fake one when they moved in October because it’s too big for their new condo and it was soooooo nice to easily put it up and not have to to buy one somewhere. We have always bought real. I still love real but this one is gorgeous and I am so excited to not have to water it, have it be crooked or lose a ton of needles lol. The kids had a blast decorating it and Cody keeps saying it’s so awesome lol. He can’t wait for Santa to come of course and wants ALL the toys lol.
