Day Fifteen: What is your favorite holiday and why?

I have to say it is Christmas. #1. Christmas is the day that was chosen to celebrate Christ’s birth. I love the lights and the red, gold, silver, etc ornaments. I love the wrapped packages under the tree. I love the decorated Christmas Trees (I put up 7 or 8). All but the one in front of the LR window is 4ft or less. Mostly 4ft though. I love everything about Christmas except the Christmas music and commercials beginning before Halloween. Hasn’t been that long ago when some of us were were unhappy because it started before Thanksgiving. I don’t put up the tree until a couple of weeks before Christmas and leave it up until New Years Day. I’m not fond of doing the work either in or outside putting up or taking down the lights, but getting everything hooked up to an outlet and hoping the timers outside work, they make my heart happy every single night. Test, test, test them suckers. Once the work is completed and the outside Nativity and lights are all up and working, I’m happy happy happy and love the festive outside in the glow of the lights to celebrate a glorious day.

Wrote a bit more but I somehow deleted and too tired to write it again. Having my kids and grand kids all here on Christmas for breakfast and present giving just warms my heart and makes me know that the gift given that we celebrate has been the reason I have what I have. God Bless us everyone.
