Baby love in Life as a Mom of 2 boys.....and a girl!!

I am dying to find out the gender of my baby and I was able to find a place nearby where you can get a private gender ultrasound at 16 weeks. So I booked it and am finding out next week on my birthday November 4th! I’m so excited! Mike is making it my birthday present. And I am not just eager to know because I really want a girl. Finding out the gender makes it feel more real to me. It makes me feel closer to the baby. We will start deciding on a name once we know. We haven’t even thought about names yet. It will be damn hard to pick a 3rd boy name if we need to, that’s for sure.

Speaking of babies, I was watching some nursing videos in my spare time at work last night and a part of me was like omg I’m going to have a newborn again. I’m so excited! Lol. As hard as it is, I really love the first year of a baby’s life. They’re just so innocent and precious and I even enjoy nursing most of the time. I nursed both boys at length, I was just watching the videos for tips because I always have at least a couple of months with sore nipple off and on and I would love to prevent that this time around. Maybe it’s unavoidable since they need to toughen up again, I don’t know.

We have really enjoyed my parents being close since they moved in on the 9th. The kids and I have visited them almost every day. Their place is small but cute and cozy. They left today for Florida today. They won’t be back for 7 weeks. Which sucks. They come back December 15-30 then leave again until April. I plan to be done all my Christmas shopping by the 15th so we can bake lots of Christmas treats and relax around the holidays.

Remember how my work laid us off? Our contract is up November 19th but they said they are almost certain it would be renewed at least once if not 2-3 times. I’m getting nervous though. I want them to tell us it’s renewed soon so I can relax.

Oh and one last thing about the baby. I am starting to feel a tiny bit of movement here and there. Can’t wait until it’s more regular! He/she is really easy to find with my doppler now :) Baby is the size of an orange now!
