The sun is splitting the sky this morning - a great autumn day as we go into November - and the temperature might reach 14 degrees C. A pity the grass is so wet (irony) or I could cut the lawn!!! Instead it is a day for a walk, possibly along the coast since there is no rugby to watch.
The All Blacks (New Zealand) proved their dominance by winning the World Cup Final yesterday - beating their old rivals, Australia, and showing just how far the home countries, England etc, are behind them. If you wanted to see the epitome of team spirit and team performance, here it was - no prima donnas, all working for each other, and some elements of individual brilliance. I shall miss all those flashing thighs!!!
We only got five kids coming a long last night - those from next door, and those across the road. In fact the kids next door missed us first time round since we did not hear them knock the door. I was pleased the kids across the road were escorted by their mum - now she is one lovely woman!!!!
And since this is an educational area I thought I would show this scientific instrument which was manufactured in the nineteenth century in Germany - Vorsprung durch Technik!
I particularly like the added elements to give authenticity.
And I love this one
