On the 24th of Oct I posted pictures of some baby items that I made for my husband’s sister’s son and his wife for their new baby boy. I mailed them on the 21st and as of today they still haven’t arrived. I’m really really bummed. Sad to say I didn’t take a picture of the tracking # nor did I insure the package. Lesson learned!!! I am still praying and hoping that it gets to the new baby or even sent back to me for lack of postage or something else. I used the big Priority Mail flat rate envelope and yes it was packed tightly. That will teach me to be so frugal in postage next time. IF they don’t receive it by the end of this week I will make another group of items and mail them in a box, and have the tracking # available AND put insurance on it. Bet they get the next package of gifts.

Took Dad to his appointment yesterday in Capital City. My GPS on my phone wouldn’t work so on Fri evening I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Thankfully that solved the problem and it took us directly although my dad was sure it was routing us the wrong way. I have a lot of faith in the phone GPS and it has yet to fail me on getting me where I ask it to.

After his appointment was done, I did go to Hobby Lobby to get more flannel fabric. Oh boy did I get fabric. I bought 18 yards of flannel-3 yds of 6 different colors. I also bought 13 yds of cotton fabric in baby type patterns. I now have finally done it. I do not have room on my shelves for all the fabric I now have. Bad MAP!! However, since I’ve been sewing so much, my sewing room shelves are needing organizing so “maybe” just maybe I’ll have room for most of it. Don’t think all the flannel will fit, but I’ll figure something out and besides I’ll be using some of it in the next 2 wks. I just hope my sewing machine hangs in there to get these projects completed.

I did get up extra early yesterday morning and I got a few things done around the house. Actually I got more done yesterday morning than I have on previous Saturday mornings. lol

I must get ready for the festivities for Thanksgiving and I’m going to make a list of rooms and things to get cleaned and ready by Thanksgiving. I started on my bedroom yesterday and if I can keep it like that it will only need minimum work and the carpet vacuumed. Did some work in the utility room too but not enough. Have more to do in there and I believe that will be the easiest area to keep clutter free. My kitchen bar/counter is not as bad as it has been but not company ready for sure. Grrrrr I hate that I hate house keeping and cleaning but I do and will get it done. Hopefully I can do a little each evening and won’t have to kill myself the weekend before Thanksgiving or stay up all night Thanksgiving Eve. The list should help. At least that is what I’m counting on. I really like crossing stuff off of lists so that “line through” on a list is motivating.

Dryer just buzzed so a load of flannel is ready to be folded and another load put in the dryer. I should have it all washed and dried by 9 this morning so it will be ready when I get time and ready.

Hope all have a wonderful Sunday. It is very foggy outside this morning and a bit muggy with the temps in the mid 50s. Take care and God Bless

(Will cross post this to ED)
