Alarm!!!!! in blackpropaganda

It was a shock to leave Spain in the evening at C23 with a lovely sunset - and come home to C3 and mist and foginess. At least we had the jumper and coats all ready to put on once we were in the terminal!

The last day was a little fraught since the day before we found the alarm system was not working - and needed fixing. All power to the company who look after it - I called on Thursday afternoon and they promised an engineer on Friday before 5 pm (when I said we were leaving - in fact it would be an hour later) He came at 4.30 pm - diagnosed the problem - new main battery required and batteries in the sensors - and did it all by 5.05 pm - including a bit of soldering. All for 70 euros - and I gave him 10 more for his work - all conducted in Spanglish.

So, hopefully the alarm will not go off while we are not there - and the lady above us knows what to do. The good thing was when he tested the alrm and it got neighbours down the street out to see what was going on.

So on with the sweater - no shorts and polo shirt and sandals here - it was good to have two weeks of sun - even thought the insect bites from working in the garden are still itching.

Now off to get some shopping done - tax a car - and the best news - I won another £25 on my Premium Bonds!!!
