Hello second trimester! in Life as a Mom of 2 boys.....and a girl!!

So today is the beginning of my 2nd trimester (13 weeks) which is a wonderful milestone as soon I should stop feeling sick and exhausted and feel a bit more like myself, just bigger. The sickness really isn’t too horrible lately. It’s just frustrating because it usually comes with the I NEED TO EAT NOW feeling and sometimes you’re just busy or in a place where you can’t eat at that moment and it’s frustrating to deal with.

On the plus side, after that incident last week where I had a bit of brown blood on my liner all has been well. I have a doctor appointment this Wednesday where I’m sure she will just tell me things look good from my most recent ultrasound and she will check my urine and blood pressure, listen to the baby’s heartbeat and send me on my way with requisition forms for my next ultrasound, which I have already booked LOL. Yes, I’m a bit eager. So I’m going to be finding out the baby’s gender on November 23rd, which is 6 weeks from now. It sounds like SUCH a long wait but I’m sure it will go by at a decent pace.

My parents moved into the condo behind us on Friday! After like 18 months of construction noises, it’s finally ready for them. Although there still are workers doing stuff. My parents are on the 2nd floor and they’re apparently completing floors from the 2nd up so only part of the 2nd floor has moved in so far. One bonus about them moving is that they gave us an almost brand new Queen bed (an upgrade from our double) which is white and gorgeous as well as the matching dresser and one bedside table. We’re still going to have to get another bedside table as well as replace one of our dressers with a white one from somewhere but I don’t care. Our dressers are pretty old. Mine is from my childhood and is very beaten up with drawer handles missing. It’s going out with the trash next week unless I find someone who wants it.

We also got my parents 60” TV which is absolutely gorgeous! We put it in our main room and completely rearranged the room and I love the new setup. We can really notice the difference too since our old TV was 42”. Plus I got a new cell phone today since my contract was up a couple of months ago so it feels like Christmas this weekend! lol. I just got a Samsung Galaxy 4 through Fido because I didn’t want to pay a ton for a phone and I was able to get a $50 monthly contract so I won’t be paying $80 a month anymore (which I think is crazy). It was only $19.99 and it came with a free car charger and $75 in Costco gift cards (because that’s where I bought it) which we used on some groceries.

We also went to the fair on Saturday with my parents and have popped in on them a couple times already. They’re exhausted from moving and unpacking but they’re happy to be so close to us now :) Mike and I are going to have some sort of date night next weekend since they offered. Not sure what we will do yet…
