I’m incredibly critical about music… that being said, I find myself enjoying the trashiness of pop music. I do have One Direction albums, I have Justin Bieber’s new album, but I find it difficult to get into the stuff that is supposed to be “amazing”. For instance, I’ve never really understood the appeal of Kendrick Lamar, although most hip-hop is a stretch for me to enjoy, so I tend to just keep my thoughts to myself.

That being said, there’s really been no new band or anything that I’ve totally been excited to hear since The 1975 came out. I enjoyed their last album quite a bit, it was rather odd and pretty eclectic, and it was a lot of fun. However, they’ve started promoting their new album, and I am enjoying it way more than I thought I would. Two videos have come out, and I am kind of obsessed with them.

Even though they’re called The 1975, their videos look more like they came out of 1985, plus their sound on this record so far sounds like vintage INXS, so I hope you enjoy these songs as much as I do.
