Still Here...! in Talk Story

Aloha and Greetings from the southern coast of Oregon on a cool and overcast day…
All remains well with me… most of my health issues seem to have been resolved (for now)…
I continue to keep busy and active (great for dealing with the “sometime” depression that comes my way)…
On days when the ocean beckons (most days) I head out early in the afternoon for long hikes along the shore…
Friends continue to include me in their activities… a late afternoon lunch… an early dinner… a game of cards or dominoes…
I spend a lot of time reading (about 100 books a year)… and of course continue to write in my journal…
Two of my favorite sports teams are not doing very well… both the Oregon Ducks (College football) and the S.F. 49ers (NFL Football) are mere shadows of their former (winning) selves…
Added to this… Jeff Gordon (Nascar) is in his final year of racing… and with his dismal showings this year… I think perhaps he should have quit at the end of last year’s racing season…
I’m still a fan of all three… but it is painful…! (sigh)
My oldest daughter… my only surviving relative… still chooses to have nothing to do with me… she has three children that I have never seen (except on Facebook)…
I still miss my youngest… but it has been ten years since her death…
Time heals… but…
