With this wonderful autumn weather I have windows open from mid morning until late afternoon, and I’ve been outside more. I set on the lawns yesterday, there is no shed here and I can’t afford to buy one just now, my electric mower is stored on a box to keep it of the ground, and a large waterproof sheet; so to cut the grass I need a warm day and at least two dry days!

I uncover the mower and stand it in the sun for a few hours, so that the grass and the mower are dry for when I start. With the weather we have just now the grass could be growing into November, I’ve seen that a few times in the last years; at least I don’t have so much grass here to cut!

It’s only resent I noticed the trains, I think they start to slow for Truro here, the sound also remembers me of my trips to Portsmouth, I’m not sure I want to Portsmouth just yet, perhaps in the spring I feel I should be here as this first Christmas comes round.

There is no Church here this Sunday, the church is going to a service in an other village, for now the local Church will be all I need.

We seem to have a light breeze today, yesterday I just hang my washing over the bars of the dryer, it was made to sit in the bath but it seems to fall over every time I try to sit it in the bath; with the weather even towels are drying stiff and ruff. We have a tumble dryer but there is no outlet for the hot air, so I wonder how we will manage in the colder months; I have a plan but no one will be interested until we are in the cold and damp times ….
