Rummikub night. in A small but passable life.

Since yesterday evening was Rummikub night at 6pm and it was a cloudy afternoon only in the mid-nineties, I decided to go over to the pool for a couple of hours beforehand and then shower before going to the card room.
The pool felt a little cooler than it did back in May. Mom said they probably have shut the heaters off and maybe the solar heaters too. Anyway, it was still pretty warm.
I had a good night at Rummikub ending with just one point for the one hand that I didn’t go out first on. We had three tables of three people. Not too bad for the small population of full-time “desert rats” that remain here year round.
Mom keeps coming up with things to do “tomorrow” and then when tomorrow arrives she decides to do something else. I don’t say anything. I just sit here until she tells me to get up.
I’ve been trying to keep up with the republican clown car but I missed something. There were seventeen. Rick Perry dropped out. Now there are fifteen. Who’d I miss? I already predicted that about one a month will drop until the most psychotic dumbass is left a year from now. So far, so good. But who did I miss?
I’ve finished watching all six seasons of The Sopranos. And yes, the ending was rather unnerving. I’m going to guess that life went on as usual for the Soprano family. Why not?
I don’t really know what I’m going to watch next. There are several ongoing shows that haven’t started for the season yet and a few old shows that I’ve postponed. I guess I’ll have to get out my notebook and see if anything looks interesting.
Francilynn showed up online yesterday. I haven’t heard from her in quite some. Her and Kay and the kids are still living in Crackerville East. Kay is working. Francilynn is looking for work. Everything is the same except the kids are growing up. No surprises.
Anyway, enough scribbling for now. I need to go out and put the charger on the golf cart and see if Mom has anything that needs to be done.
