So I’m home today.

Swatting flies. Well thinking about swatting flies.

I made soup. So so soup.

I’m thinking about sweeping the floor.

I have one flip flop on and one flip flop off. The left one is on. I usually refer to the left flip flop as a flip and the right one as a flop. I get kicks out of explaining that.

Recent talk about putting a woman on the ten dollar bill leads me to consider Frances Perkins. Take a look at her life. I had a better article about her but now I can’t find it. The internet is like my house. Or my books. Once you find something you better hang on to it because it will be hard to find it again. Doesn’t help with internet searches that my browser keeps getting highjacked. Oh well. I have a red squiggle under ‘highjacked’, I wonder if Firefox likes ‘hijack’ better. Yup it does.

She was FDR’s Secretary of Labor and she wore hats to great advantage.

I’m thinking about buying groceries. A trip to the city might be in store. I let someone else decide. If not I’ll shop locally. I almost stopped at an apple orchard on my way home from work yesterday, but I didn’t have enough cash with me to shop luxuriously. Next week I’ll do that.

There is a very bright light in the eastern sky when I go to work. I’m assuming it’s Venus?

Work was ok. It was only forty hours, only four days, and for that I’m grateful. I did some interesting jobs. And didn’t get into any major trouble, though I was really stupid once. Work is such a mixed blessing. It gives you somewhere to go and something to do and there is the social aspect, plus they pay you. But sometimes I’d just rather not do it.

My diary here is this great mystery story. How long will she keep working? What will she do when she quits? Will she be happy? Is she ever happy?

Existential angst. Short sentences and long ones. Short paragraphs and long ones. Big words and little ones.

I have a set of pictures of lbh and Gracie. They are in chronological order over a couple minute period. They aren’t great but they are kinda cute. I could not decide which to post so I’m posting all of them.

They are sharing morning toast. It had French jam on it.

At one point Gracie would not get ‘down’ and lbh ate the piece of toast herself.

Note tail motion in third and fourth pics. Gracie has a really hard time getting down. She is a bossy dog. lbh can have a strong will too.
