So as I’ve whined about a few entries back, I’m in total lack right now until Friday. Phone off, food is sparse, but I will survive. We will survive.

Sunday I went to the store and sold ::sniff sniff:: my first season Game of Thrones dvd set. Season two was over stocked as was the first season of The Walking dead so I couldn’t get anything for those. I actually feel back knowing that a lot of people aren’t going into stores to buy music and movies that I would go there and sell and take money from them, but I was deperate. So I got like $13.50 and I put $10 in my tank.

So no money, I got creative in the kitchen. So I kept hearing on cooking shows that it doesn’t matter if it’s yellow or white, cornmeal is polenta is grits. So I cooked some in the style that I would cook grits, butter, salted water and low and behold it was grits. I was ecstatic! More food options! YAY! So, I made grits for breakfast on Monday and cheese grits on Monday afternoon.

Monday, I briefly visited work for the Japanese Festival we have every year. Son was dressed as Spirit from Soul Eater because his girlfriend was supposed to be Dr. Stein. HOWEVER because of lousy communication AND the fact that son couldn’t connect with anyone beyond Saturday at the library, we didn’t connect with his people. Girlfriend was in the country with her family and the other friend couldn’t be found. My son knew where he lived, but didn’t know the apartment number and there were no names on the doors. So that was gas wasted and I had to maneuver through the streets of downtown because there was the whole Labor Day parade to get around.

Went to the job thinking girlfriend was there. Took awhile to get from the parking lot to the main campus of work. So once inside, I connected to the wifi at work and asked girlfriend if she was there with her family. And we all know she was in the country still so that was that. Son was deflated and defeated and he wanted to go. We were there for all of an hour. We did stop to see the people playing the…It looks like a zither/sitar and I forgot what the name of it is. Shi…something or maybe Ki something, but the playing was beautiful. So after that, I’m sorry, in the middle of that, he was ready to go. So we went to the shuttle spot, got to the car and went home.

I tried to take a nap when my neighbors and their music started going. I said eff this and told son to get dressed because we were going to dads. They don’t see son much because son has a life I suppose. LOL So when “uncle” came to the door, he saw us and then closed it quickly but reopened it laughing. He said go on into the kitchen after hugs and such and we waited for dad. Dad came downstairs and my son towered over him and hugged him. I love it when people see him. I get a kick out of their reaction to how he’s grown. So we visited with dad. Main purpose for going is because we thought they would be cooking over there. But no one did. So he asked what were we about to do. I said go back home. Nothing much too do. So he gave me $40 and said go out to eat to stay out of the house. My stepmother was upstairs laying down then she came down too. So we all left at the same time. The son and I went to Steak N Shake where we both had the bacon lover’s burger and he had a cookie butter shake. After this we went to Dollar tree with the left over $20 and got some extras to extend our week.

And it’s still looking as if I won’t be able to buy my plane ticket for the Bahamas yet. This is crazy.

But it is now Tuesday. Things are okay. tonight is taco night at my house.

Lunch time will be study time.

Take care of yourselves.

Kindest regards,
Sister
