wave in poetry

You are not catching a wave.
You are not riding a wave.
You are a wave function collapsing.
This is not better or worse but it is different.
You aren’t up and humming.
You are something becoming.
A particle, an article, a tenticle, a spectacle.
A recursive fractal and factual and actual.
You’re not catching a wave.
You’re not hurtling toward the grave.
You’ll be something tomorrow.
You are something today.
One or the other, location or speed.
Anything more is more than you need.
Keep becoming.
