Had this question from readers and forget that not all my new friends know who is who in my diary. Sorry. So, to fill those of you in on my family I will start with Dude. Dude is our oldest son. Dude is 37 and will be 38 in October. Dude and his wife, Dudette, were married in 2005 and they had our oldest grand daughter, Mickey, in 2004. They also have added Raylee and Isaiah to the family. Mickey is 12, Raylee is 8, and Isaiah is 5. Dudette’s mom and grandma watched their kids from Thursday evening until this afternoon and since they did, Dude and Dudette stayed with J and last night, since Dudette had to work today. Dude is doing pretty good and will call the surgeon’s office tomorrow to find out when he goes back to make sure everything is healing okay. He does have some pain but he also thinks the constant pain that the surgery was for (bulging disk) is already making a difference. Now that is good news.

A is our middle child and only girl. She will turn 35 in October. There is only 3 days between their birth days and so are other family members so October is a busy birthday month. A has an 8 year old son and is a single mom.

Two granddaughters and two grandsons. Nice little package of blessings and energy.

J is the youngest of the 3 of our kids and he is 27. I am pretty sure most of you are aware that he lives with me and works at our county Sheltered Workshop. J has Down Syndrome.

So that’s the immediate family. The same month and year that Dude and Dudette got married was when my husband, of almost 30 years, died very unexpectedly from a stroke.

This is how the month of May 2005 went.
Fred had a stroke on May 6th.
He died on May 11, 2005.
The wedding rehearsal was May 13th.
Dude and Dudette were married on May 14th.
On May the 15th, was the visitation/viewing.
May 16, Fred’s funeral.
THEN
on May 20th, our youngest, Jacob graduated from high school.

Only my faith and belief got me through that month and that year and it continues to be my strength and guide as I continue my walk now. I realize that not everyone “believes” in God, a higher being, or the trinity. I am sorry. My prayers are with those that do not have that wonderful and special relationship. I will not “preach” to you, and my chances of being able to meet any of my wonderful friends from here are very slim, but I would really would love to meet you someday and I’ll show you my mansion. We’ll walk the golden streets and praise the Lord for accepting us into the family.

Take care and God Bless
