Late Autumn Day Set, one.

Quiet morning and just the one dog, Lola’s bed is on the floor rather than on the settee where it is usually, in it’s place is a comfy looking Ziggy; Lola has found a softer bed. Our Daughter dose like the dogs in her room over night, but there are restrictions, such as not jumping on and off the bed, no wondering about in the wee small hours and defiantly no going dawn stairs with a slipper! Lola curls up at the bottom of the bed and remains there until she hears the word ‘breakfast’ then she is off down the stairs with out a slipper. Poor Ziggy breaks all the rules in the first half hour, so he makes do with a settee all to him self, if Lola was there she wouldn’t look happy; sharing a settee is crowding to Lola!

Late Autumn Day Set, two.

Breakfast has hardly been said and Lola is in the kitchen, and it is her who stands close to Sweetheart who has the bowls ready, Ziggy goes to the back of the kitchen, there he bounces on the spot until told to ‘sit’ and then ‘wait’ Ziggy waits like a spring ready to leap, and as soon he hears the ‘OK’ he goes go ….. I had my second session in the Gym for this week, a manage an extra minute on the cross-trainer, I think taking my IPod helps as it helps the time pass. On the shoulder lifts I have taken 5 Kilo’s of the weight, I felt I was strained to much but on the shoulder pulls I added 5 Kilo’s; and managed it with comfort. I also managed a little longer on the treadmill, all with the help of Don McLean’s best of album! I first use my iPod on Monday, then it was Hildegard of Bingen and her music from nine hundred years ago, an album called ‘A Feather on the Breath of God’ And finished with the Eurythmics and the wonderful voice of Annie Lennox; great music from just thirty yeas ago!

Late Autumn Day Set, three. It is near a flight-path.

Today Lola and Daughter have been to her obedience training class, it was shorter than normal as the class was the last of this year, so things were relaxed – party mood in fact; I wasn’t there it’s the only dog activity I haven’t beet – yet! There was an obedience game, Lola and Boxer came shared first place, there were prizes and Lola got a sniff of hers, but she hasn’t managed to thrash the rapping yet! It’s nice to see Lola win something, in agility she is the best round the course, passing through all the objects without a paw out of place, but it is judged by be being accurate and speed; although she thinks a big dog her short legs can’t get her round! So obedience is Lola’s thing, but its just as well they don’t test for dogs being quiet while others are watching television; that Boxer will never know how close he was to a solo win – but we don’t what bad habits he or she has at home!

Late Autumn Day Set, four.

Tomorrow things get serious, First of December and the First day in Advent, another twenty days it will be ….. I’ll say it next time!
Photographs from last weekend, while Ziggy was doing his agility and I was passing my time with my Canon G10; seeking images for late autumn…..
