so the other person who um made a cd for me was my former friend Michael. it’s been 5 yrs. since I last talked to him. well a little over. um. So the first time we hung out we listened to a mix he made for me only I didn’t know that untill he dropped me off. at my place. he’s like ‘no this is for you i’m not going to keep it. it’s one of the ways I get to know people’. it had good stuff on it. um Miles Davis’ ‘autumn leaves’ [oh yeah for those who don’t know i’m a fan of his. i’ve not heard a lot of his stuff and i don’t have a lot but what i have heard i’ve liked]. In This Moment’s cover of ‘call me’ kate voegle’s cover of ‘hallelujah’. a beach boys song. a cover of............the ‘best is yet to come’.......a louis prima song. all good stuff. yeah and so ever since then I’ve made mixes for people. I’ve made more for my sister and my ex than anyone [well i mean i made them for my ex when we were together] made a few for my mom.
so my whole helping people thing. i vividly remember it starting when i was 15. at a play showcase thing up in vermont. god 15. wow. it involved cutting. well it involved me cutting rather. [if anyone wants to know more just let me know in the comments thank you]
