I had a good morning. That visiting nurse came along with my case manager. First, case manager said that I have an appointment with my therapist at 9:45am on Tuesday. I also see the doctor. My psychiatrist might not be able to make any changes to my meds until after the evaluation. But I am glad that I will be getting in to see somebody next week. That alone lifted up my spirits.

I had a long interview with the visiting nurse. She asked me all kinds of questions. I told her I was suffering from severe depression. I felt as though I needed help in taking care of myself and with health cleaning. She asked about my physical health. I said that I have arthritis in my hips and knees. I also get short of breathe when walking long distances. She asked if I needed help with bathing and grooming. I said that I don’t shower when I am depressed and let myself go down the tubes. Then she asked if I was able to walk. I said that I sometimes I get off balance when I first stand up and that I use a walker when the arthritis is really bad.

We talked for over an hour. She seemed to think that I could qualify for help. She said it will take seven to ten days to go through with the insurance. She said that I will be qualified for level one help. This means that I can have somebody come in for 21/2 hours from Monday to Friday. I said that would be great. It is a real load off my mind knowing that I will be getting some help.

I also finished reading my book America’s Constitution A Biography by Akhil Reed Amar. . I decided to start on a book called John Marshall : Definer of a Nation by Jean Edward Smith.

Life seems to be pretty good. Depression has lifted. But the way things have been going I could be back down in the dumps again by supper time. For right now on a scale of one to ten I would rate the depression as a three.
