Things I've changed and conveniently forgot to mention in Site Updates

"My Prose box" is now "My profile". At first I thought it was cute to have the prose box, in which you put your prose books, in which you write prose entries, upon which people leave prose comments, ad nauseam. I'm so completely over it. You have a profile, you have books. The site is Prosebox. That's that.
I changed the link in the Comment Inbox and Comments Sent, so when you click a user's name it takes you to their profile instead of their comment in the entry. The entry title above the comment still serves this purpose, but the more intuitive link for a user's name is their profile so I changed it. Sorry if you were used to the old way.
Another ad. I do plan on introducing an ad-free subscription option soon (with other cool features), but for now I do need a little extra revenue boost to keeps things going until I reach the point where I feel comfortable offering subscriptions. :)

I'm glad you did #2. That was making me a bit nuts! :)

I think I preferred it as "my prosebox" rather than "my profile". I always feel like "my profile" is going to take me to a settings page rather than be where all my books are. But hey, whatever works.

Thank you for #2 ... the old way would drive me nuts and I always felt like I was taking the very long, very scenic, back roads way to get to their profile lol

I think it would be perfect with a customized background option and maybe the ability to search our entries and even colorize the backgrounds of the entries. Too much change is not only annoying, but that's what causes more glitches and other problems.

Oh good, I am looking forward to a subscription option! Hate the ads. :) Thankfully they're not too obnoxious here though. Thanks for all your hard work!

AdBlock Plus is super if you hate ads. I haven't seen any. ;) Can't wait for the subscription feature!

Likewise. ;)

Thanks for everything you're doing. :) This site is a savior for a lot of us.

I agree..! I would gladly pay for a subscription too, if it wasn't too exy.

Saw this on the thing on the front page, but this entry is not showing up in the bookmarks, just thought I'd let you know.

Do you still have me bookmarked? I bookmarked myself and I see it in my bookmarks (23 hours ago).

Okay I'm gonna d'oh really hard. I saw the entry after this one and went on with my bookmarks for the day. When I got on the site I saw this entry in the little Proseladex thing and assumed it was a brand new entry and went to my bookmarks confused. xD

Looking forward to chipping in with a subscription.

I would love to be able to click on my friends list and be able to see if they updated any of their books..like maybe have their usernames in bold... Or a number beside the name..?

Is there a bug report page anywhere? None of the little icons like in the "my prosebox" box render in IE on Win Phone 7.

The ads do not bother me at all, but depending on the features offered in the subscription, I would consider.
Also, I love how we can have different themes. I have the cyborg theme, and it is glorious!
Thank you for all the great work you are putting into this great site, and here is to a great future here ♥

I've search high and low but haven't found the answer to my question: how do you post a picture in your description/quote areas?
simple mind dickson. ⋅ November 29, 2013
The quote is text only, but you can use either Markdown or HTML to put a picture in an entry or book description. HTML:
Or Markdown:
