Met a couple yesterday I had not seen for a little while - they had both been in the choir, and in fact met there - and embarked on second marriages - so you ask the question - ‘And how are you?’ expecting the usual response - ‘Fine thanks’ - but no - ‘Well not too good’ - she said - ‘I have cancer - diagnosed five weeks ago after a regular mammogram - I have had surgery, and now having treatment.’ Wow - and I had just heard her singing in a choir - and looking very well. Once more - as in the last entry - expect the unexpected.
And for your delight the roses in the garden - in a day or so the petals will fall off - but they are at the height of their blowsiness - mature, open - almost vulva like - I love these roses -

They're very beautiful. And a metaphor for life, wonderful one minute, gone the next. Sorry about your friend, but breast cancer survival rates are very high, especially for older women. xxx

I'm sorry to hear about another sick friend. I feel like such bad news tends to come in 3s. Anywho, the roses are absolutely lovely :)
