She kissed like an actress. Without excess or lacking. We finished the scene. There was a storm outside, just lightening and rain. No thunder. We cuddled for a while in the car with the center console separating us and so very much more. She may have enjoyed it. Maybe me, maybe the scene. I don’t know. There wasn’t any passion. There wasn’t much. We had a scene, we didn’t have a moment.
I picked her up at her house after I’d taught a theater camp all day (paid) and run a theater class that night (for free). We grabbed desert first (it was 8:45 by then), then went and got passable Japanese food. Then we went to the Hookah bar nearby. We chatted and talked. She mostly talked about the new boy she’s interested in. But there’s always one of those. And there always has been. And there always will be. I asked her out in the first place because she’d told me that I should after I mentioned that I’d been waiting since November for a second date but she was always attached. I ought to have kissed her then. It could have been something.
Still, it was fine.
I’m seeing a few others, naturally, and I’m glad that I only have to balance a little longer. I’m getting pretty tired of it all, to be honest. It’s turning into a chore. The other two aren’t as cute, so I thought maybe it’d be different with Linds. It wasn’t. I had a moment with Audrey, months ago, where I vaguely felt special, but that passed quickly enough.
I’m working all day all week days at a summer theater camp. I’m working most nights at the bar. I should have enough money to get set up in Japan pretty nicely. I’ve seen pictures of the new place, and it looks pretty okay. Pretty nice, actually. I’ll post more on the stationing soon. It’s late and I’ve got to get up early. Still, making it a point of writing.
