An entertaining campy dark comedy.

I’m the type of person who laughs at the wrong moments. The entire plot of the movie shouldn’t be a secret to anybody not living under a rock the past twenty years. I’m not into gore; this movie didn’t feel like goreporn. I just found myself constantly laughing at every human death, and kind of rooting for the dinosaurs to do as much damage as possible.

As an aside: THE TOKEN BLACK GUY DOESN’T DIE.

Also, they very clearly set-up possible sequels. I predict they’ll end up calling it Jurassic World War.

I want to see this, and at the same time I still LOVE the first Jurassic Park and I don't think anything else could compare to it. Maybe that's because it reminds me of my childhood.

I considered the original to be predictable and campy. (That isn't necessarily a bad thing, for me.) So. I had the same low bar coming in. It's like any sequel. It can't be the original, but it can be something else. : )

I still want to see this and Mad Max. I might go to the movies by myself on Father's Day.

Treat yourself to Father's Day. ; )
