Doing quite well but extremely bored.

Saw the knee doctor last week and all is ok. Asked him about going back to work and he said that he would be happy to write me out all summer! As nice as it sounds, I cannot do that as 1: the court staff is down two people and it is vacation time, 2: I don’t want to use up all my vacation time, currently I have 5 months of sick time accrued and 3: since I am restricted to a walker I cannot do much and it is extremely boring! I will go back to work on the 22nd, I will have a co-worker pick me up and then I will just be in the office until the dr releases me. I see him July 11 and hopefully all will be good. I still have some discomfort at times when I put pressure on my leg, but that could take several weeks til it finally goes away.

Also saw the plastic surgeon and we discussed the next phase of reconstruction which is more of a contouring phase I would say. He will take fat from my stomach and use it to plump up around the breasts making them look more natural with cleavage. Unfortunately that entails a week out of work—yikes! Told him I could not do it yet because of being out so long and he said that it can be done at any time. It also will be a bit painful and I will have to wear a girdle-type garment for three weeks! Decided to do it in the fall, weather will be cooler and by then we will be fully staffed at work and it should not be too difficult to take off. I actually have a few days scheduled to be off on November so might exchange them for sick time so will probably it then or maybe earlier in October.

The doctor also asked me if I would like to be a model for a procedure that in effect will be like a mini face-lift! He has been doing this particular procedure for a few years but they are getting a new machine and he needs some patients to try it out. It would normally cost $4000 but since I would be testing it, it would a fraction of the cost. Of course I said yes and I am going to have that monday. He will be doing what is called “precisiontx” which they make small incisions under my chin, fit a small amount of cannula under the skin which delivers energy to stimulate collagen production (paraphrasing from the brochure). Anyway, it delivers a natural effect, could take up to a year and the end result will be that the skin under my chin and neck will firm up. I have always thought that my chin went into my neck, from the side, too much so when he asked me and showed me what he would do, I was interested.

Well, this has turned into a major novel, so I will end it now. I did notice that my last entry showed accepting private comments only. Do not know how that came about so hope it doesn’t show that for this.

Have a wonderful day!
