Rainy day in In the Kingdom of Suzu

Raining here today. We have had pretty much rain the past two weeks but yesterday’s paper said that despite the rain, our county is now included in the state’s drought watch!

Changed the doctor appointment to next Wednesday first thing in the a.m. And I feel better about it. I will still have to come in late but I will take comp time and it will not be the first day I come back to work. It will just work out better all the way around. My daughter will take me, she was originally going to take me, but Wednesday will work better for her.

While I do wish now I had taken more time, at least by going to work I won’t be bored anymore. When I had the mastectomy I was able to cook, do some cleaning, etc., but with this knee surgery I can’t really do much. I have cooked a couple of meals but I try not to stand too much. I try to limit the amount of walking I have to do. My kitchen is small so I can pretty much stand in one spot and access the stove, sink and fridge but it is still a bit challenging. I have been able to clean the bathroom, again the bathroom is small, so I can pretty much get to everything by sitting on a stool that I have in there.

Today would be a good day for soup as it is a bit damp out, unfortunately I don’t have any made. It had been so hot I was eating mostly salads. I do have a couple of WW frozen meals in the freezer that i had gotten for “emergency” so I will probably have one of them. Surprising I have not gained any weight these past weeks. In fact, I might have lost a couple of pounds!
